Trailing Thoughts

Well, I have not had the inclination to sit and write for over a month now, though I decided to sit down today to see what comes to me. Today is my day off and I straightened my room a bit. I also set up the paints that I recently purchased and stared at a blank canvas, trying to decide what do I want to try to paint. You see, all these years at school, I never had an art class and though I try to think of myself as a creative person, I have not had much time to nurture these habits ( during highschool I did dabble in jewelry making– but that is hard now, my fingers cramp up). I spent many years studying all the different math and sciences, trying to develop my rational, logical side, not my creative side. So now I find myself with days that I do not have to study and do my homework, so I have tried to develop hobbies. I love to read, and I always have, but it seems like every book I read contains the same plots and I am still enjoying reading, but there is only so much a person can read in a day. I also love taking pictures and I keep borrowing madhujit’s camera and take pictures. I took my cousin’s senior pictures and I must say they turned out relatively swell.
Madhujit’s parents have now been gone for a week. I must say, everyone misses them. I would pick up Sibani and we would go shopping. Shopping is fun by yourself, but it is not as fulfilling if you are with someone.
