Trailing Thoughts

When Madhujit & I decided to take the plunge and change phone service from Alltel to Sprint, we thought would be improving our cell phone service. I would have to disagree… yes the phone is cooler than alltel and we now have national coverage, but Alltel had excellent customer service. We changed inbetween December and January and have had issues with sprint since. I had a sanyo 8100 — don’t get me wrong it was a nice phone, but it did not have a speaker phone. Then after a month and a half of having their service , they came out with a decent phone…. but they told me it would be full price for the phone or I could wait 18 months… then I came up with another solution. Justin would have had his phone 18 months this June so I would get the new phone with the rebate and he could have the sanyo phone. We verified a few times with the sprint reps on the airport store if this was possible and they said it was. So we waited until June… we went to get the phones switched and now they informed us Justin would have to have the new phone for 8 weeks for the rebate to work because they research the rebates… This upset me because they kept giving me new crap each time they spoke. Alltel this would not have been a problem you just extend your contract, because I have done it a few times with them… Isaid screw it and went and purchased the phone at Best Buy ( there was no way in hell I was going to buy it outright from sprint). It is an interesting phone… I like it but it is going to take so time adapting to it, because I had the one phone for such a long time. It is the toshiba 4050. It has a great screen and takes decent pictures…. It has a speakerphone, but it is not loud enough, but it is still great when things are silent. But something is needed for the car….
