Happy Easter

Filed under: My family — Lady Dobry @ 11:24 am

Well.Happy Easter to all… For many today, we are celebrating Jesus Christ triumphing from the dead.. I went to church today at St. Adalbert’s Parish, in toledo Oh. This was in the area were I grew up. The church was decorated with beautiful pink and blue flowers and lots of lillies. The mass was nice. Fr. Marek commented on the Passion of the Christ, the movie that Mel Gibson directed. I did not see this movie yet, but Fr. Marek wanted to pass along the message that Christ willingly suffered the injustice for our benefit.
The family is coming over for Easter brunch here. We no longer have little ones about to have an easter egg hunt, but spending time with family is fun, if not exhausting ( With Matt and Justin here and throw Katie into the bunch– what a headache).
Madhujit’s parents will be here tomorrow night… and they will stay for a while. We have been looking forward to their visit…
My brother Matt is one of the most spoiled kid I know. He had the nerve to tell my mother he should be driving a BMW like everyone else…. let me expand on this comment. Matt is driving my mother’s old car, a 1997 Ford Contour. He has a leak in the air condition system and does not have air condition. Bob, a mechanic, said it will take a long time for him to fix, so Matt wanted to take my mom’s new honda and make my mom drive the old car. My mom said no. Then he had the nerve to tell me I should switch him. The answer here was HELL NO. I work hard to make my car payments. Finally, matt bugs busia. At first Busia said no, but the brat Matt would not leave busia alone until she said yes. During this session of being obnoxious, Matt told my mom she should get him a BMW like everyone else in med school and that if anyone in the family was a doctor, he would be driving one. Matt has bigger opinions of himself then he really should. He acts like a know-it-all ass just because he is finishing up the first year of med school… one day he will be put in his place….
We watched Brother Bear, the Disney movie, yesterday. It had a semi-interesting plot, but Disney is just running out of fairy tales to write about. It had some powerful messages about love and seeing beneath the surface and it was mushy at the end.
Additionally saw cheaper by the dozen the night before last. This was also quite amuzing and was decently done. It was touching that it built up family is the most important thing, but who in their right minds would ever want 12 kids???
