Madhujit has pointed out to me that my titles are less than creative, but oh well, I think they fit. Today was the Pharmacy Expo at the University of Toledo. There were a lot of prospective employers for all over the us around. Let me tell you, now I am so confused. I really don’t know what I want to do. There is the possibility of retail and I have already recieved a great offer from Rite Aid for either here or in Cleveland– about 90,- is nothing to sneeze at right when you get out of school. Plus there is a sign on bonus. But there are some great residency programs to focus more on the clinical aspects of pharmacy. There are some I would like to specialize in, like oncology or infectious disease management. But then there are offers of pharmacy with a great opportunities for growth into management so I can use my MBA. A few hospitals offer a residency program which is a masters program in hospital administration. Then there are the fellowship programs, like the one that Eli Lilly offers, which are great sounding. I really am confused now. It is all the options and not having a career path specifically chosen.
Well, there is one thing that I must say, pharmacy can be a rewarding career, even if for some people it is just monetary. I really urge people to look into it if they are considering a medical field and can’t really stand the idea of med school ( mainly the lab part of med school)
Well, now that I am confused, I really need to think about what I want to do. I need to look over all the benefits and the cons of working for each place and whether I will be happy there. But for now, I have to do some homework for tonight.

sunday night
Well, it has been a productive weekend. Friday I worked but I got off early– I wanted to get home to Madhujit’s to give candy to little kids. Unfortunately, with the area and the rain, only 4 kids came. They were happy kids though– I gave out full sized candy bars. Justin, my brother, got the rest. I also dressed up for work– I sort of did a gypsy costume, but I had to make sure it was not violating any dress code. Saturday was also a great day. I did homework and I cooked dinner. I made stuffed chicken marsala with garlic-cheese mash potatoes and a salad with a homemade vinagerette. I had pumpkin roll for dessert. It was pretty good if I say so myself. We then went and saw Miss Saigon. I did not know the story line and I must say — it was quite an eye opener and semi-depressing, but the company was awesome. Today I did not do much but do homework and some general cleaning. I made some massive sub sandwiches for Madhujit and I — they were pretty good, but Madhujit could not finish his. I need to do a little more homework because Katie is coming over tomorrow after work and I really will have no time for anything else. Jessy, my other cousin, finally got a job. She has been looking since she turned 16 in June ( Jessy and Madhujit share a birthday). She is going to be working at Target as a cashier. Madhujit is currently as I type talking to his parents, a normal occurance every Wednesday and Sunday,
Wednesday is a pharmacy career expo and I am skipping class to go– I have a few interviews set up for then, It will help give direction of where I want to go in May.
