Trailing Thoughts

It is a wonder, having a printer hooked up to your home computer. We have a printer that has been sitting in my brother’s bedroom, not hooked up to anything for over 2 years. But when Katie needed to do her homework, I had to print out some things. First problem was Justin took the power cord and was using it for his notebook, and told me he did not know where it was at. As I was getting ready to buy a new printer, Justin told me where the cord was at. The second amazing thing was the printer worked after not being used for years. The ink was not dried up or anything. I got a lot of things done, but I still have to study for my tests this week and finish my supply chain take home exam.

Well, it is now Daylight Savings time so I got an extra hour of sleep today. I have many things going on today, most of all homework. I have 2 rough drafts due this week, 2 tests and 1 paper due and 2 take home exams. Wow… plus Katie, my cousin needs help with her science research project. Anyways– here are the pictures of the pumpkin we carved Friday night


Well Katie is here so I want to get this out of the way as quickly as possible.

I am sitting here listening to Madhujit speak with his parents. I got out of school early because the guy normally keeps us over our time so today he let us out early. Madhujit bought this expensive seat cover which is a back massage. It is a nice seat cover and feels pretty decent for a while. Then it gets painful. It has some strong things digging in your back. Plus it makes really strange sounds. So I think that it is relaxful at first, but if you sit there more than 5 minutes, it starts to hurt.

Yesterday night we bought a pumpkin and hopefully we are going to carve it tonight after I get off work. I am partial to a skeleton design, or we might just end up with an average pumpkin face. We will have to see. Madhujit’s parents said they are really fond of my site. That is probably because I write about our lives, not code (I realize that there is a place for it, but his parents really miss him. Madhujit broke down yesterday, after surviving around 8 months without cable, he is going to have it again. Fall break needs to be longer. I have worked most of it and felt kind of under the weather, so it is nice to have it, but I want more. Oh well, only the rest of this semester and one more to go. I am a little concerned with next semester. We were suppose to hear about our rotation sites by June and it is already the end of October.

Yesterday night we ( Madhujit and I, my mother and John) went to the zoo’s halloween party. My mom and I went as gypsies, while John went as Zorro and Madhujit went as the Conceptualization of Self-Centeredness ( not really, I made that up– he did not wear a costume, but his shirt had the words, Center of the Universe and had an arrow pointing to the center that proclaimed “I am here”)

Madhujit and I had our fortunes told by an astrologer at the zoo party. I was born under a full moon, and I am somewhat psychic, and on 6/3/03 this year I began a settling period ( whatever that means) She also said that I am going to go to chef school ( go figure). In addition, I am a perfectionist and I am creative but practical– and that I will somehow turn a hobby into money. Madhujit was born under a new moon and is quoted “What you see is what you get”. He is said to be good with money and will be wealthy ( but always working a lot, usually 2 jobs). And the freakiest prediction is that he has back problems. Which he does. She also saw that Madhujit is intelligent and an engineer. I think that sums up our few minutes of the astrologer’s time. I even got Madhujit to dance a few with me. We left when the drunk guys started stripping.
Today I will spend the day doing homework and catching up on some work that I have been putting off. Madhujit is cooking for me today, I do not know what yet though. But, it is still early and I am hungry so I am leaving.

I absolutely detest thursday nights… it is because of my e-commerce class. She is a very intelligent lady, but she is not technical at all. It really annoys me when she talks shit and she does not know what in the world she is talking about. I am still not feeling well, and Madhujit and I could not decide on something to eat, so we ended up at Farmer Jacks and got some all beef ( I do not eat pork) hot dogs on a stick. I also bought a yogurt and a grapefruit. Yum, a wonderful combination. I am looking forward for dressing up for halloween. Madhujit will not, but John, my mom’s boyfriend will, so my mom and I will get him a costume to match ours. I need to go and check the corn dogs now…

I am not feeling to well today. Yesterday, the rain soaked me as I was walking from the “Boonies parking lot” and I sat chattering in class. Then I went to my other class. I was coughing something serious and looked horrible. LOL, Nancy, the professor of the Human Resource Management class I was taking told me to go home during the break. Which was great because I needed it. Molly, my cocker spaniel, is doing better with the lamp shade. She is still running into things (namely my leg as we walk) but now she can manage to eat and go up and down steps. I have a test tomorrow in my Marketing class, and I still need to study, so I am leaving now…:idea:
